Leśny Zwierzyniec

how to get there

A mountainous area, amazing views, and interesting animal species.  You can see mouflons, coypu, ferrets, groundhogs, raccoons, meerkats and fallow deer here.  Birds such as barnacle geese, East Indie ducks and crested ducks also live here.  However, this is just a fraction of the specimens inhabiting the Liszna zoo.

A particularly exciting experience is the opportunity to feed some of the species yourself.  Special cups filled with treats for the animals await tourists at the cash register.  Many animals are very eager to come up to visitors and eat directly from the hand.

The animals in Liszna live in special cages and enclosures.  Visiting this place is therefore safe.  Thanks to information boards installed on the premises, you can also learn more about a given species.

Finding this place should not be a problem, just turn left just before the Bieszczady Forest Railway Station when traveling from Cisna to Komańcza.  Signs will then guide all interested visitors.  There is a parking lot on site.  However, it is worth remembering that visiting this place is only possible in summer, i.e. from May to September.  In winter, due to adverse conditions, the animals are moved to another place.
